Jeff Wannapithipat
Jeff was born and raised in the heart of Bangkok city alongside with his younger brother “Jay”, his mother’s originally from Pimai, Nakornrachasima, a province of Thailand, while his father’s originally from Mainland, China. When he was younger, his mother used to run a small “late night” street food stall in Bangkok where Jeffs mostly learned to cook unintentionally from hung out with his mother, he was a 10-year-old boy and was already on the wok cooking food as requested from his regular customers whilst his mother’s drunk or taking a nap.
Right after his mother passed away from having cancer, the shop was closed but the bond between the “3-May-Boys” became very much closer. Jeff, Jay and Saichon (their father) were all born in May, and shared the same interests and passion for food. Saichon loved to cook ‘Thai-Chinese’ influences cuisines at home after work, late at night and pack up a “togo” for Jeff to eat at work in the morning. Jeffs learned a “homestyle” cooking from his father, whilst Jay has individual cooking technique where he focused on whatever he likes and put it together his ways.
Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Tourism Industries and Hospitality Management from Phranakorn Rajabhat University in Bangkok city. He then trained a Hospitality Management Program specifically in the area of Food & Beverage Divisions at Marriott International, a hotel in Fairfax, VA. Once completed a whole year of training, Jeff got back to Bangkok City and started his first official full-time job as a Reservations Sales Agent, a central reservations office and a call center of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts for all 4 properties in Thailand. He learned a lot and developed so many skills during the time there.
With his enthusiasm and ambitiousness, he signed in to work on a cruise ship but does not went well as his
expectations, he resigned and went straight back to Thailand. After all those times and money Jeff spent on training to be a seaman, Jeff realized that he should give it another try and he signed up for a position of Personal Assistant to a Managing Director and owner of a Yacht Chartering Company, “Blue Voyages Thailand” where he played a big role and mainly conducted best customers experiences, looked after about services, standard of procedures and company infrastructures for basically the whole operations.
Today, Jeff is looking out to find and to create happiness for lives, for smiles and for laughs. For the most meaningful of his lives and for others, Jeffs worked hard to discipline himself on his work ethics. He wants his workplace to be fun and joyful, to be a place for learning and educating, to be a place for hanging out with colleagues and friends, and of course to be a place full of opportunities for a better living for everyone. “Life is too short, make the most of it”, said Jeff.
